At Evergreen Garden Center, we want you to love what you grow and feel confident in every purchase. Our goal isn’t just to sell plants — it’s to help you succeed in your gardening journey. Below you’ll find our return and warranty details, written with care and transparency.

We take pride in offering healthy, thriving plants — and we want you to have success growing them! Live annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, tropicals, and houseplants may be returned within 3 days of purchase, as long as they’re in the same condition as when purchased and approved by a manager.

Because we’re confident in the quality of our greenhouse plants, we don’t offer guarantees or refunds once they leave our care. However, if you notice a plant starting to struggle, don’t hesitate to reach out — bring it by or give us a call, and we’ll gladly help diagnose the problem.

Remember, even the most seasoned gardeners lose a plant now and then. Weather, watering, soil, and pests are all part of the learning process — and we’re here to help you along the way.

Non-plant items — like décor, gardening accessories, gloves, tools, fertilizers, pots, concrete, birding supplies, and similar products — may be returned within 30 days of purchase, as long as they’re unopened and in their original condition.

Items damaged after purchase or through mishandling aren’t eligible for return. Please note that holiday items (such as Christmas, Valentine’s, Easter, Fall, and Halloween décor) cannot be returned after the holiday has passed.

Our trees and shrubs come with a one-year warranty, which can be extended to two years at the time of purchase. (You can read more about our warranty here.)  Read more about our warranty here. 

Any live exchanges must be completed within 5 days of purchase, with the plant in its original condition and subject to manager approval. Trees and shrubs kept in above-ground containers rather than planted in the ground are not covered under warranty, as they are more vulnerable to temperature extremes. All live exchanges must be completed within 5 days of date of purchase in their original condition subject to manager approval.

If a fish does not survive within the first 3 days after purchase, please bring the fish and your receipt for an exchange.

Water garden plants may be returned or exchanged within 3 days of purchase, provided they are in their original condition and approved by a manager. These plants are not guaranteed to live beyond the purchase date.


  • Credit/Debit Cards: Must have original credit/debit card that was used when item(s) were purchased
  • Cash/Check/Gift Cards: Refunded to a new Gift Card
